We have enclosed a Lenticular Filter with flexible technology, creating a customised space tailored to meet the client’s specific needs.
The Lenticular Filter is a piece of equipment that requires considerable maneuvering space, making containment operations a complex challenge. At CSV Containment, we enjoy taking on such challenges and, together with our client, explored the most suitable configurations to enable operators to work safely. The rigid structure of the flexible isolator is built by our workshops and is designed to accommodate the filter on a cart and enable lifting of its housing with a crane. This results in a particularly tall skid, equipped with interfaces that allow for connecting all necessary utilities.
Fully enclosed and fully connected.
Once positioned within the flexible isolator, the cart-mounted filter is secured with a U-Grip seal. Thanks to its U-shaped design, the white seal affixes the film to profiles built onto the through-wall panel and those present on the cart itself. These profiles ensure secure attachment of the film, fully enclosing the lower part of the isolator and creating a single chamber that encapsulates the entire Lenticular Filter. A specialised through-wall panel, customised to client specifications and equipped with clamps on both sides, facilitates all required connections. Tube containment is managed through the established iris cable pass-through system, which CSV Containment employs on flexible isolators. Specially designed sleeves, fitted with O-rings and secured with clamps, enable cables and tubes to be twisted and wrapped securely, ensuring containment.
Under Pressure.
To further enhance safety, this isolator is equipped with a Venturi system that enables negative pressure operation. This robust structure includes no fewer than 18 butyl gloves, which connect seamlessly with the isolator sleeves. The gloves are easy to replace and allow for extensive maneuverability within the isolator. Two important Bag-Out routes enable external material transfer through continuous liners or sleeves, which are secured with Twin Tie® straps that can be easily cut for separation.
The Lenticular Filter Isolator includes:
- 18 butyl gloves, 270 mm diameter
- 1 Venturi extraction with 2 manual valves
- 2 Camfill H14 HEPA filters on the top
- 1 Pressure Regulator and 1 Magnehelic gauge
- 2 canisters with sleeves
- A steel frame with antistatic wheels
- A support shelf with a clamped sleeve opening
- 1 LDPE flexible isolator
- 1 iris entry system at the top for crane access
- A panel with 6 clamped wall pass-throughs for utility passage
- Metal profile and U-Grip rubber for securing the isolator skirt to the cart and through-wall panel
