We have designed a skid entirely dedicated to an ATEX environment, featuring universal loading solutions.
An ATEX environment requires that all devices within it are free of components that pose an explosion risk. To meet this requirement, we have equipped our glove box with a control valve fitted with a positioner and pneumatic control. The valve, produced by Klinger Italy, is controlled by a pneumatic OMC device. This simple and effective solution allows us to exclude the use of PLCs or electronic instruments.
From Drum to Bag.
To make drum loading operations universal, we have developed an adapter that allows for the loading of drums with smaller diameters and heights. The DIT® iris system can accommodate drums up to 500 mm in diameter. Drums positioned on the lifter, even when using an adapter, are loaded through an automatic handling cycle, operated by foot pedal pneumatic controls.
An additional loading option is provided by a side door, opposite the one designated for bag-out. This door allows for the introduction of bags into the chamber. To facilitate this operation, a mobile structure equipped with a roller conveyor is placed at the height of the side door.
Finally, for the washing phase, the glove box is equipped with a pneumatic gasket plug specifically designed for the Double Iris. This tool ensures precision during decontamination, enabling careful cleaning of the inner membrane.

- Internal ATEX II 2G IIB T3 / II 2D IIIB T200°C
- External ATEX II 3G IIB T3 / II 3D IIIB T200°C
- Control system based on pneumatic logic, without PLCs or electronic controls
- Pressure indicator for monitoring negative pressure in the chamber
- Pressure indicator for monitoring the extraction HEPA filter
- Negative pressure in the chamber is achieved by connecting the station to the existing plant vent and injecting nitrogen, with the outlet flow controlled by a pneumatic balancing valve
