Working with a High Containment Big Bag is both convenient and safe, thanks to the advanced solutions developed by CSV Containment. 

For years, we have been manufacturing our High Containment Big Bag using certified, high-quality films that act as a protective liner inside the outer conductive polypropylene support. But we do not stop at internal liners: we also focus on facilitating your loading, unloading, and replacement operations.

Lined and tested.

At CSV Containment’s “Flexilab”, we design and manufacture custom LDPE liners for the High Containment Big Bag, tailored to customers’ requirements. Indeed, we have created special big bags with T-shaped upper and lower necks, equipped with 1 or 2 bag-out sleeves. These sleeves can be closed with a reversible clamp to perform the following operations safely:

  • Transferring.
  • Bagging out the stub of previous big bags.
  • Detaching previous big bags.
  • Connecting new big bags.
  • In-line sampling through the secondary side sleeves.

Our transparent, antistatic, and highly resistant material ensures safe handling while preventing the release of hazardous dust protecting operators from exposure.

To guarantee reliability, we use a Class C outer conductive support while controlling each “in-liner” to ensure that it has correct surface resistance, no electrical charges, and no leaks, thanks to our quality control team performing accurate inflation tests. We can even inspect your High Containment Big Bag as it is being discharged!

Following customer requirements, we can realize standard big bag charging or discharging stations and install them on top or beneath equipment such as reactors, centrifuges, or filter driers. In such instances, a high level of containment is ensured through a bag-out device, an interface quipped with a continuous liner to facilitate the bag-in and bag-out procedures on the upper or lower necks of the generic Big Bags. The discharging station can be directly connected to the receiver equipment or a container such as drums or empty big bags. Subsequently, the transfer operation can occur by gravity or through a buffer hopper connected to a vacuum transfer system/circuit.

DIT® technology patent for controlled discharge.

Our patented DIT® iris technology helps us. We integrate iris systems into our Docking Station to control and regulate material discharge. Depending on the product, the elastomer-based modular opening system enables precise and controlled material release, functioning almost like a dosing mechanism.

Additionally, our Docking Station features inflatable seals to facilitate the replacement of the High Containment Big Bag. Some setups also include glove bags for enhanced safety during handling. For bag-out systems, we integrate internally produced LDPE donut liners. For a secure closure and separation of the inner liner, we recommend combining our Twin Tie system with the new manual tensioner.

Discharging big bags and loading stations.

All CSV Containment solutions are tailor-made, addressing challenges beyond imagined levels. What does this mean? We design loading structures for reactors, starting from the upper level, allowing material transfer from a floor above the reactor. Our systems include hoists for Big Bag loading and unloading stations equipped with connectors, piping, and actuated valves to control product flow into reactors or other processing equipment.
